First stop Jokulsarlon it is snowing nicely and you cannot see the glacier in fact you cannot see very far at all. The lagoon is very full of icebergs the most we have ever seen.
There was ice on the beach beautiful blue jewels on a black sand.

When we got to Hofn the weather did not look so inviting
We called to see a secluded glacial lagoon that we have visited many times before. After the glacial lagoon we popped to see a stunning waterfall.

Heading east today. The day started very snowy and stayed like that all day. After breakfast we headed to Namaskard then on to Egilsstaðir the scenery was very white.

Tomorrow we head south to warmer and less snowy areas.
This is the view from the window of the hotel, the day is starting with glorious sunshine cool outside but stunning, we are heading to Myvatn today, lots to see along the way.

It is snowing quite nicely now we are in our room for the night, but during the day it has been beautiful and sunny -3. We have been to godafoss waterfall and round the Myvatn lake, and the geothermal area Namaskard.

we travelled along some wonderful northern coastline towards Hvitserkur got Andrew to stand below so you get an idea of size:
Sky is clearing so hopefully another good night for Northern lights – view across the fjord from hotel tonight.
Arrived at Borganes, staying in a lovely guest house with an amazing view over the bay (Kria), beautiful hot tub and an amazing light show (northern lights).

Saturday 8th April we head back to Iceland for a holiday this time – we are thinking of a week in the North – we will post on here regularly so keep looking.
